  • Rush - Vapor Trails

    The guys still got it!

Just got back from the concert and they were great! They did 3 hours of stuff all the way back to Bytor and the Snowdog. As usual the highlight for me was Neil Peart's drum solo.

    Great show!

For those of you that don't know, here is a video of part of a Peart drum solo.

It may only be interesting to drummers.

Used to be a big fan of theirs, way back when. Somewhere in the mid 80's their music got a bit to much like techno rock. If that is the right term for it.

I still say they are the best 3 member band to have ever played. I am amazed what all those 3 guys can do.

And I also think Neil should be considered in the top 5 drummers of all time.

yeah, definitely, there's a reason for his nick "the professor" :-)

another participants would be Jeff Porcaro (former Toto) and Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater).

Frankly, Neil was at one point the best drummer, ever - period.

And I think he's very close to having come back to that status.

But then again, not picking up your sticks for two years DOES put you a bit out of practice.

I was VERY disappointed that they didn't play "Vapor Trails" itself at the concert we went to.
