Holy shit! In other news, I tried to look outside to see if the sky was failling, but had to duck back inside as I was nearly hit by a sow doing aerial acrobatics. I then rushed to the phone as Satan had called to see if he could borrow a sweater.

Nah can't do that. Besides if you're on the Helpdesk trying to write something serious the phone won't stop ringing. :D

Well if you take in the lost posts I'm probably around 4500. I've also been here a long time. Helpdesk being quiet at work just leaves web browsing so I can post maybe ten or more a session if any interesting discussion/piss take is going on.

4000 is impressive!

Congrats!

You must be doing too good a job. ;) Perhaps its time to start emulating the BOFH? :D

Jorden still has 6214 posts.
On the other hand, he's just another 'super murcer'.
Bah, big deal.

Fat Tone

Oh how little you know! :D:D:D

Surely a "King" should be better informed?

I'm sure a forum search for 'Jorden' in the body will be enlightening. He is no ordinary Super Murcer!

Edit: Strange that's not getting many hits, but here's one for starters: http://forums.murc.ws/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34255&perpage=20&pagenumber=3

I remember the days Motub was here, as well as PurpleHaze.
I remember her moving with him as well.

It was in the old forums, before they were hacked and people lost accounts (I was Cloudy back then, had fight s with 'father Joel' about the G200).

What does it have to do with Jorden's no. of posts and status ?

Fat Tone
7th August 2002, 01:46
I shall leave others to comment on his status :)

Dogbert
7th August 2002, 01:49
Are you referring to this ?

I didn't get that "ate him one night for supper" part / joke.

I'm referring to the constant battles he had with certain people around here. Despite him leaving some time ago, he is still something of a legend, and battles still rage elsewhere from time to time!

Dogbert
7th August 2002, 02:20
Maybe I'm too 'old' or maybe he simply isn't the stuff legends are made of, at least not in my case.

Those who could/should be legends happen to still roam around the forums (in no specific order): Gurm, Kruzin, ALBPM, Greebe, Wombat, Maggi, Dr Mordrid, Joel, KvH... I might have forgotten some1 but that's the bunch.

(I'm ignoring Ant cause hes the owner so it's too obvious)

I think Ant should change the status of the non moderators in this list to HardCore Murcers.
Those are they guys that really shaped the Murc community. (Some of them also received 'anonymous' threats lately ;) )

If you're looking for battles, Greebe can get pretty (very) angry quite fast sometimes while for attitude you have Gurm ;)

The PIT

Don't forget Dancray he became a legend very rapidly. ;)

Dogbert
7th August 2002, 04:20
Oh, yes, right ! Dancry is the Anti-christ of Murc.

Gurm

Jord and Holly are people I consider "friends". And yet I don't understand why they "left" MURC. All I know is that Jord has this disturbing tendency to rub people entirely the wrong way... and to be rubbed the wrong way by them.

It's as though he has a permanent abrasiveness filter up. And he is QUITE fluent in English, and yet seems to PURPOSELY misunderstand people on a regular basis.

Basically, he let it get too personal and got too fed up. And left.

I don't think Holly ever left, per se. She's just been super-duper busy learning Dutch and doing the whole "naturalization" thing. I don't even see her on ICQ any more. *shrug*

I do, however, concur that we longtime supers ought to get distinctive titles.

When Dogbert is done being "Village Idiot", he can just go back to plain ol' "Idiot", or perhaps "Numbskull".

May we join in on the fun, Gurm? (should I slap myself now?)

My girlfriend would say this is a very bad idea - combined with the "animated avatar" project, I think I'd not be allowed to visit here anymore ;)

Yeah. We'd all appreciate the heads-up the next time you get a little ripped and feel like being exhibitionistic. That way we can all ... avoid encouraging you and steadfastly pay attention to... something... else!
