Do minidisc players skip?
Howdy all. If you carry a minidisc player with you when you excerise/skate/work out etc. will it skip like a cd player does? I really like the idea of a minidisc player over an mp3 player, but if it is going to skip it is useless to me. Thanks for any input you've got.

Not usually, no. It's got a buffer and it's decoding MP3-like data from the disc. So they don't skip unless there's a HUGE scratch, or you drop it.

I would still get screwed -
they also spin a couple of times fast than they need to,.. so they burst the data off the disk, most of the time the disk isn't actually being read.You wanna piece of me? here, *crunch*, o.k. not _that_ bit.Comment
