  • VirtualDub 1.3d stops capturing after 71min

    hello,

I have encounterd some problems with VirtualDub capturing. I'm capturing huffyuv 352*288. Somehow the capturing always stop after 71min (plus minus 60s). I have spill system enabled, but it's not that because it doesn't matter how big the segmented avis are. I don't have any stop conditions enabled.

Do you know of any conditions that might stop the capturing on a precise time, every time?

It's a known problem actually. The guy from VirtualDub posted a few different pieces of info on it. It seems that some vid drivers have a problem breaking 71 mins and change.

It stems from the fact that 71.xx mins is 2^32(32 bit) microseconds. I believe a fix for it is being put into V1.3e, so you'll have to wait till then.

      Try v1.1!

At 71 minute the counter will crash but the recording continues, or try AVI-IO.
