  • video source unstable

I'm on the edge to go back to a small win98 partition for capture, but i'll give it another try with win2k.
Here is my problem, maybe somebody can help:

    - i have marvel g400, on pal, with win2k sp2, 5.84 drvs and pc vcvr 2.10. I'm TRYING to capture with virtualdub/avi_io and i usually get the message : video source unstable, cannot open video capture device. Note that this happends while i'm watching a nice and STABLE tv tuner signal on the preview area. Also, avi-io gives me more often this message.
It may be important that i'm capturing from an antenna source (cable problems ), and the signal isn't the best signal you can have on cable? It looks ok in preview. Also, i'm begining to suspect that, if i don't set any compression codecs the capture works more often. But this probablly it's stupid.
