    That is disappointing. SVCD would be a natural next step for their excellent MPEG encoder. Maybe they feel that MPEG and VCD is still strong enough that they don't need to make the investment right now. Nevertheless, I have trumpeted their encoder over and over so I hope this move (or lack therof) isn't and indicator that they are walking away from further growth in video compression.
