  • Parhelia Hardware Overlay with DualHead and TripleHead

What's the straight scoop on hardware overlay, anyone know?

Reason being, I will be using the maching to edit video, and because the G450 and G550 had no overlay on the second head, I couldn't display video on the second monitor.

I've heard differing stories on the Parhelia - that it has hardare overlay on both monitors in DualHead, but NO hardware overlay in TripleHead at all (none of the three heads).

    What's the skinny?

Hardware overlays on the first two (max of 1600x1200) and software overlay on the third (max unknown).
I should have bought an ATI.

Check Doc M's thread in the Desktop video forum for Parhelia and editing:

The card also does overlay on all three outputs; the primary and secondary are hardware and the tertiary is software, but all 3 are so fast that it's a distinction without a difference. This means the preview window of editing software can be on any display.
