Somehow I think that is infringing on our constitutional rights. If that law ever passes, I'm certain a class action lawsuit to overturn it will pop up. If not, I'll start one myself damn it. If the RIAA and MPAA would stop worrying about piracy and start worrying about make quality products, we wouldn't have this problem.

IMO all "intellectual property" should go the same way as what software is doing and the GNU License. The EFF has already written an Open Audio License for music, and I'm waiting for one to be written covering film, where the script is considered the source code.
Everything the current industries are doing to "use" the Internet to their advantage will fail, and then they'll blame piracy and say that distribution over the net doesn't work. In actuallity it will fail because they are trying to turn a new way of doing business into their comfortable style. It's time that developers, artists and end users dictate what happens.
