Q3 Smp

I know this question has probably been asked before, hell i used to know the answer to it... But does anyone know how to enable Q3 to use SMP? I cant let this new xeon setup go to waste I wanna see how far i can push the surround gaming if i have SMP enabled...

Edit: Also, does anyone know if 3dmark 2001 can be enabled to use SMP? 3Dmark has troubles with hyperthreading...i get higher scores with hyperthreading disabled (2 CPUs) than i get with hyperthreading enabled (essentially 4 CPUs)

Erm, I don't THINK you can get 3DMark to do SMP.

In Quake3 it's relatively simple...

In your config file, add:

/seta r_smp 1 (or is it /seta r_smp=1 ? I can never remember, make it look like the rest of the commands).

However, there are currently ZERO video cards on the market that work correctly with SMP, and your sound card is likely to glitch out, too.
