    Services:

Motherboard repair at a component level .

Most motherboard related failures are do to the "On-board" regulated supplies and component failure within those circuits.

Abit and Epox motherboards have had a failure on several models which include but not limited to:

    BE6
    BE6 II
    BE6 1.2
    BE6 2.0
    BH6
    BP6
    BX6
    BX 133
    * KA7 *
    SA6
    SA6R
    SE6
    SH6
    VL6
    VP6

The most common symptoms on these models is:

    1) Failure to boot .
    2) Must attempt booting several times before machine will start.
    3) Instability , especially when graphics are complex.
    4) Machine boots with a pre-Coppermine Celeron but will not boot with a PIII Coppermine.
    5) Bad odor wafts about the room and this time it wasn't you or the dog .
    6) Bios health alarm (hi-low siren) at boot but PC health screen shows no reason for the alarm.
    7) Fans spin up, power indicator lights up and nothing else happens

I repair most Brands and models of motherboard but because of the recent avalanche of dead or almost dead Abit boards, this has been my main area of focus.

You guys have no idea how many of these I have seen!

Based on what some resellers said, it looks like at least a large minority of these boards have this problem. By "these boards" it looks like boards made by Abit roughly between two-three years ago. It's not rare by any means, it's not 100% by any means.

How can it be a large minority?

Simple: Abit has been making boards for quite a few years now.
The majority of the boards made 2-3 years ago are worthless shit. This majority is still a large minority of Abits full production over the years.
