  • Millenium G400 Dual Head with p4

Hi i have a Matrox Millenium G400 Dual Head 32MB

and i was wondering if it would work on an epox 4g4a+ motherboard with a p4 2.26MHz CPU 533MHzfsb

Reason being because i head that p4 only accepts cards which have 4x AGP and a voltage of 1.5 volts...

does the G400 satisfies these requirements?

    thanx in advance )

    It should work fine.

Hmm ok.. But you do confirm p4 needs 4x agp adn 1.5 volts?

      the g400 is?

The G400 is capable of auto-switching to the correct voltage, and is 4x compatible. Depending on the exact version you have, it may not run at 4x, but it will run in a 4x mobo.

Early versions of G400 where 4x compatible, but not 4x capable. They would run in a 4x mobo, but at 2x speed. Later versions where able to go to 4x.

It seems to be fine on my OC system.

              P4-1.6A @ 2.13 GHz,1.5v + Abit BD7-R + Samsung DDR333 512MB (2-2-2 & CAS precharge 5) + G400DH/32 + ...

The unbelievable thing is that I just use the Retail heat-sink...
If the CPU runs at 1.6GHz, it just needs 1.2v Vcore voltage...
