Video compression in AVI_IO when using YUY2?

  • Video compression in AVI_IO when using YUY2?

    Has any one been able to use video compression in AVI_IO when the video format is YUY2?

    For me its always Grayed out!

    I't works in VirtualDub but i still want to use AVI_IO since it's more exact on file size!

    1. Make sure you have version 1.3.1 of HuffYUV. 'tis new and will make the files smaller.

    2. Use at least version D02.36 of AVI_IO, and preferrably D02.39.

    3. Don't forget to use Flying Dutchmans YUY2 utility to turn on the YUY2 option in the drivers.

    4. Don't use version 1.54 of the video tools. They don't work well using YUY2. Version 1.52 works fine.
