  • Framerates over 100

    Any framerate over the monitors refresh rate is pointless. You see no performance benifits. How about having better graphics instead of 5 million FPS?

          Bingo. If it does the latter, the other numbers are basically moot.

            Disable Vsync

            It's important, though, whatever your preferred refresh rate, to run with vsync disabled in 3D games. That way if your card can produce a higher frame rate than a vsync-locked refresh rate provides for, you won't suffer for it. I've had incidents in which the nomal refresh rate was vsync-locked at around 100Hz and my game "stuttered" through certain sections. Disabling vsync took care of the problem completely.
