    For a tenner a month more you can upgrade your 512/128 line to 1024/256:



    They say it takes 24 hours, but just reboot your cable modem and it should be done pretty much straight away.

          hopefully NTL will fall into line with those prices soon, they want 77 quid for the 1mb package with phone n tv, i pay 39 for 512 with fone n tv. gits

            I barely use the 512kb I already have!
            Unless you're downloading Micro$oft patches or get really lucky on Kazaa, I cant see much point in having 1mb over 512kb from Telewest.
            Their transparent proxies comprehensively bugger up online gaming via cable modem anyway.

                i have the telewest 512 connection at home and it is excellent for everything- reliable and fast. online gaming for me is fantastic, and i would ask my dad to upgrade, but as i am not at home very often i don't think he would see any advantages from it.

                  Im with nildram, im on the package where you get the modem as part of the monthly payments. This was before wires only came out, if i want the same package without the modem its gonna cost 29.99 so there is no point buying a modem and switching over as it will end up costing the same. Its abit expensive but it is also very good as i got very low pings, good transfer rates, 25mb webspace, newsgroup access and a static IP so i ain't complaining.
