i am stuck inside at the moment revising for exams, but it is perfect golfing weather outside, and i really want to play!!!

i play off a handicap of 15, but i only play in the summer when it is not raining. i reckon i could get it down to about 9 if i played regulary, but apart from the summer i only play on holidays to spain (la manga) and other courses in america. there are a few nice courses around orlando that i have played whilst out on holiday, and also at lake tahoe, and some completely random place called tehachapi that we visited last year.

does anyone else here play golf, and has anyone played any Major courses???

I'm keen but not too good. If I play regularly I can get to bogey on many holes, with the occasion par (especially 3s). Since changing jobs I don't have a golf partner

I've seen Banff Springs from the gondola of the cable car going up the local mountain, and played it on Links386Pro, but that's as close as I have got to a well known course.

The one at Leicester race course is very good for the money, apart from the two holes (7+8) in the centre of the track.

Where are you based? Good Luck with the studying.

A husband and wife love to golf together, but neither of them is playing as well as they want to, so they decide to take private lessons. The husband has his lesson first. After the pro sees his swing, he says, "No, no, no, You are gripping the club way too hard!"

"Well, what should I do?" Asks the man.

"Hold the club gently," the pro replies, "just like you'd hold your wife's breast."

The man takes the advice, takes a swing, and POW! He hits the ball 250 yards straight down the fairway. The next day the wife goes for her lesson. After the pro watches her swing, he says, "No, no, no, You're gripping the club way too hard."

"What can I do?" asks the wife.

"Hold the club gently, just like you'd hold your husband's penis."

The wife listens carefully to the pro's advice, takes a swing, and THUMP. The ball goes straight down the fairway, about 35 feet.

"That was great," the pro says, "Nice and gentle. Now take the club out of your mouth and swing it like you're supposed to."

So the UK gains Denty & Liz, USA gains Roadie. Sounds fair

Hey Pace - I was in your neck of the woods last week. I took the wife up to Edniburgh for a surprise 10th anniversary treat. We visited the Falkirk Wheel on Thursday. The visitor centre wasn't quite open but we had a good look around the wheel - it's amazing!

i am doing business studies, which lancaster rates pretty highly in (top 5 in the country). i am doing modules in management science (boring maths type stuff which i hate), business organisation (sort of interesting stuff to do with people) and marketing which is interesting, but quite hard.

WOOHOO ONLY ONE MORE EXAM LEFT!!!
