  • New FAST seti-link up!

    — May 30, 2002 —
Newsflash: We just linked our data server up to the new 100 Megabit/sec Cogent link (as of about 23:30pm GMT). We will be monitoring its progress throughout the evening. We'll let you know how it goes!

For all taking a look on seti@home's network-graphs then there's a problem, here they are for the new 100 Mbits/second-link.

1st. graph is the new link. It stands gigabitethernet, so the limiting part is they've only paying for 100 Mbits.
2nd. graph is traffic incoming from seti@home's servers, heading out on graph 1.
3rd. graph is traffic from Berkeley.

Due to the current routing, traffic is currently incoming from Berkeley and routed to Seti, there the outgoing is routed out on the new link. Then this is changed, all traffic should use the new link.

The traffic on the old graph is probably the web-server still using this route. Maybe they'll keep on using this route for the web-server.
