  • Independent AntiAiasing - Vector/Edge - AntiAliasing G450

    hi there!

    in nearly every product-specs 'bout G450 you've
been told about the G450's ( DH or not doesn't matter though ) antialiasing feature.
is it turned on all the time? or do i have to
activate it somewhere? cause there is no sign
of that feature nether in the powerdesk-options
    nor somewhere else.

The G400 does support 2 forms of Anti-ailising.

There's edge anti-ailising, which no games support. Only place I've seen this been implemented is on the N64, such as the Zelda games.

There's also FSAA. I'm not sure what type of FSAA this is, it could be a software implementation. I've seen it work in Hitman code47. This FSAA must be explicitly supported by the software (such as Hitman) and can't just be enabled in drivers (like all new GPU's sold today). It's slow as ass, and almost no games support it.

If you want Antialiasing on a Matrox card, you'll have to wait for Parhelia.
        Primary system specs:
        Asus A7V266-E | AthlonXP 1700+ | Alpha Pal8045T | Radeon 8500 | 256mb Crucial DDR | Maxtor D740X 40gb | Ricoh 8/8/32 | Toshiba 16X DVD | 3Com 905C TX NIC | Hercules Fortissimo II | Antec SX635 | Win2k Pro
