  • MILLENNIUM and Win XP - NO WORKY... pls HELP!

Does anyone have the original old Matrox Millennium PCI working under
    WinXP?
When I install it, WinXP detects it (and even labels it as Matrox
Millennium PCI), but then gives me a message saying:

"Cannot Install this Hardware... an error occurred in installing this
    device... The data is invalid."

I have downloaded the latest driver from the Matrox site, but when I
try to reinstall using those drivers I get the same message.

(and I also tried unintalling the previous installations first too.)

Anyone know what the problem might be?

    Thanks!

You can find lastest UNIFIED (Millennium 2; Mystique 220 and Gxx series board) Matrox drivers for Windows XP here!

        ftp://ftp.matrox.com/pub/mga/archive...02/w2k_582.exe

It will probably fix your issues! Try it!

            Thanks everyone for the help!!

I finally managed to get it solved, by doing a complete reformat of my hard drive and brand new installation of Win XP.

            Worked without any problems.

Guess my windows was a bit screwed up previously.

Anyway, I'm a very happy camper now.

            Thanks again!!

I do have a question tough, Venturer:

We do you advise him to use Mill2, Mystique, and G-Series drivers?
