  • Myst 3 & ATI Card Problems

    Alright.

I broke down and got my wife Myst 3 so she would leave me alone.

Unfortunately it runs really really really dark on my ATI 7500.

The problem is that even with the monitor brightness and contrast turned all the way up, and Screen and Game Gamma Maxed out.... it still is too dark... better... but not good enough (The desktop is almost pure white, even with a black background).

Anyone know of a quick fix... or should I just swap it out for a different card for now?

    Well... I figured it out.

I pulled out the 7500 and threw in an 8500... same problem.

I took out the 8500 and went with the onboard S3 Graphics on the Wifes GA-7ZMMH board.

Bingo... set gamma to 2 and its as clear as day...

Oh well... she doesn't play anything that intensive to begin with... I wonder if that 8500 will make my K6-2 300 any faster in games...

Nah... I think I will just stick with the crap Sis 6326 Card I found... it seems to do well enough for MS Office and Most of all IE-6 and Outlook Express... although I am only getting 60hrz a second... maybe I just need a better monitor..
