Drivers for Win2k (5.38 i think, and the vidtools to capture...)

Is it possible to exchange your ICD with the newest stand alone one (dated 25th of April)? I did a manual ICD swap (I have a G400) and it cured any problems with MOHAA.

Dunno if it works - but I hope that helps !

Manually replace your "g400icd.dll" (on W2k systems usually in C:\Windows\system32) with a newer version from Matrox, e.g. the new stand-alone OpenGL driver. It was released a few days ago and contains all the neccessary fixes for MOHAA. You can download that driver directly from Matrox itself.

I replaced my 5.72 ICD with the 5.82 version I extracted from the usual power desk 5.82. But be warned, it`s just not enough to simply unzip that driver package, because what you get is a "g400icd.dl_" which is still compressed.

Therefore I suggest you try the stand-alone version first.

GunX - if you would have invested the 30 seconds that are neccessary to have a look on the Matrox driver page, you would have noticed, that the W2K-drivers are at version number 5.xx and the Win98 drivers are at version number 6.xx !! Additionally I think I made it very clear that I am referring to the W2k driver version, as I am using W2k (have a look at my sig) !

But it does not matter which operating system you have, the x.82 drivers include the bugfixes for MOHAA.

Got it ? This posting is not meant as an offense ...

GunX - read what R0M (a Matrox employee) says about the stand-alone ICD I recommended to you:

                  "Hey Guys,
Yeah we fixed a lot of bugs with the new ICD. The main ones are related to JK2, the problem with the freezing with the video is all taken care of. Also, we fixed a nasty bug that was in Quake 3, look at the wall and you will see a line as you move. That is also gone. Also more Medal of Honor fixes are in, performance should be much better. I recommend using this ICD from now on since this is what we're testing with right now on G550, G400. So any further fixes we do will be based on this ICD. I welcome your feedback or comments especially in JK2."

                  You can download it at:

                  Hope that helps
