  • DV to Tape

Ok, work with me here. I know this should be a no brainer but I need to make sure I am on the right track.

I am working in Premiere 6, capture via firewire.
    Cam is set to VCR.
    Other comp info in sig.

I have finished a pair of videos around 40 minutes and am trying to move them back to my cam corder. I go file>export>print to tape. It starts my camcorder.

Does that sound right? Am I forgetting something simple?

I ask because the camcordes does not capture, complaining that there is no signal.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

    Could be several reasons, but...

I'm not familiar with Sharp camcorders at all, but Sony camcorders which allow analog to digital "pass through" conversion have a setting in their menu which determines which way the DV signal is going to/from the camcorder. For what you want to do, this setting needs to be switched to "DV in" or something similar to that.

Thanks, I'll look into that as soon as I get home.
