  • Radeon 8500 Resolutions

I just installed the Radeon 8500 card, and I must say it is awsome in games compared to my G400 Max. However, I miss my favorite resolution of 1280x960, the drivers only natively support 1280x1024 or 1280x768. Any one know of a way to change it to the other res?

You can try these alternative drivers.

Seconded! These drivers are bloody good!
The cheapo SuperGrace Radeon 7000VE I've put in my dads PC refused to run 3DMark2000 and had noticable jerkiness in Half-Life TFC.
Not only did these drivers let me run a looping 3dMark for several hours, they improved the frame rate and quality of TFC.

Plus the landscape/inverted modes are interesting if not actually very usefull

(Its still not as quick and accurate as my G400Max tho, but for £36 I'm well pleased!)

Theres some 9x leaked drivers on the rounds so Omega may be updating again soon.
