  • Replacement Motherboard

I've just had an ABIT VP6 die on me, and I am in need of a replacement of some sort.

So, I'm currently looking at SuperMicro's 370DDE with VIA Pro 266, or their P3TDDE with VIA Pro266T does anyone have any reasons as to why I shouldn't go with either of these boards?

If so, do you have any other suggestions given my investment in 2xP3 and 1GB Non-ECC pc133 RAM and 4x40GB disks?

    Many thanks

    Barry

    PS
I can't find the Pro 266 chipset listed at VIA, is it just a typo on the SM site?

    http://www.via.com.tw/en/apollo/PRO266.jsp

If you meant that you can't see those motherboards listed as using the Pro266 chipset, you could be right. VIA lists the 370DDE as an Apollo Pro133A board

Edit: I have come to the conclusion that the 370DDE does in fact use the Pro266 chipset. Read more at http://www.digit-life.com/articles/supermicro370dde/

I trust that the mobo manufacturer knows what chipset they use VIA doesn't have the time to correctly update their stats.
