  • I need Stats On Some Old SCSI Drives

In my fun rig I have two HP97560 SCSI Drives... unfortunately I haven't had too much luck diggin up much information on them... just the basics... I want to do some experimenting but it would be nice if I had some pretty comprehensive documentation to start off with... anyone happen to have any laying around ?

    Found it

I have no idea why I didn't see this the first time

Now I just have to find out why my drives only transfer at a maximum of 700kbits a second...

(My Drives are in Windows XP as a Software Raid 0)

Man I knew these were large drives... but wow...

      Physical Characteristics

      Unit Weight
      3.4 kg (7.5 lbs)

I never got around to measuring them... two drives in my little mid tower total 15 pounds of the total weight.

Alrighty... I didn't use the lameo Benchmark crap.. and did some heavy duty file copying.... and it doesn't do too bad... probably closer to 1.5MB a second.

you are just trying to get to 1000 posts, the scsi story is just a thinly disguised pretence

if they ever die, open them up and power them up...the older drives do a nice seek sequences, and the spindles are strong enough to stick things on
