  • 1 GB limit in clip window

From the clip and source windows of Premiere 6.0 I am not able to see any avi file longer then 1 GB. The clip is stopped from viewing after 1 GB.
My OS is Win98 FAT 32, and I have read several posts here about the 2 (or 4) GB limit of avi files with FAT32, but dind'nt find any about this 1 GB limit. From the timeline of premiere, however, I see the entire clip. Why this? Does any workaround exist?
    Thanks a lot.

I found an answer (partly), in an old post on this forum,

(don't know if this link will work)

and the limit seems to be related to MSPro internal viewer that uses old VFW (VideoForWindows) routines. Honestly, I do not know the subject

AFAIK, Premiere 6 should be uptodate, and overcome such a limit, when using the clip window or the monitor view.
Anyway, I use AVI_IO, and put the capture limit to 950MB, and go ahead! AVI_IO is really great, and is worth to buy it (as I did).
