  • Premiere 6 output to tape

    Hi,
I'm using a G400-TV and Premiere 6 to edit my analog videos. I'm trying to use the "output to tape" option in Premiere, but there is no way to get the video-signal to my TV (the signal is only on my monitor, but not on the output of the marvel-box).

    Can anyone help me?

    Thomas

P.S.: With the DVDmax-option it works, but the quality is very bad (great problems with PAL-Interleave).

    hi

I had that problem myself. This is how I cured it:
Export your video to new .avi files - beware of the 2GB limit of Win 98.
Best quality video will give you about 11mins.
Then you can use quicktime player (PRO) to cut and paste the sections that you create one after the other without any glitches!
(I wish I could do that with Windows Media Player!!!)
I use this setup for videos of even two hours.
    Good luck

Did you try turning on field based scaling in the DVDMAX options page?

You'll loose a bit anyhow because of PAL's alternate scanline color encoding. Yech....
