where can i find the g400 max?

my g400 just died and i want to replace it with a g400 max. where can i find a new one? i've looked everywhere but they don't seem to be available anywhere? i see a lot of g400s but... also, i've noticed that the g550s cost LESS than the g400s! what's up with that?

G400 aren't produced any more, hence the high prices.

Your G400 probably is still under warrantee.. contact Matrox for a RMA #

Yes, it's true that the prices are pretty steep. There was a time when everybody and their dog wanted to get rid of a G400MAX, might have been at the time when the Radeon was released... But that time has passed and now most of the G400MAXes are owned by people that always hoped to own one =)
So avalaible MAXes can be found at online auctions and at ShopMatrox... If you're going with a new Asus MoBo you might want to avoid the first revision. Also remember that many "vanilla" G400s can be clocked to MAX speeds.
