    G400 Compatibility Question

    I'm seriously considering picking up a used motherboard & cpu to replace my ABIT BM6 & Celeron 400, to go along my Matrox G400DH 32MB
    Any known issues between the G400 and an AMD T-bird 900, on a ABIT KT7 (VIA133 chipset)?

    None that I can remembr, the KT7 I'm using worked perfectly with my G400 32MB.

      I've got a kt7A and no problem at all.
      Main: Dual Xeon LV2.4Ghz@3.1Ghz | 3X21" | NVidia 6800 | 2Gb DDR | SCSI
      Second: Dual PIII 1GHz | 21" Monitor | G200MMS + Quadro 2 Pro | 512MB ECC SDRAM | SCSI
      Third: Apple G4 450Mhz | 21" Monitor | Radeon 8500 | 1,5Gb SDRAM | SCSI

        No problem at all with my KT7, Duron 900 and my G400max.

        Be sure to instal the latest 4in1 before your Matrox drivers and it should do just fine.
        System : ASUS A8N SLI premium, Athlon 64X2 3800+, 2Gb, T7K500 320Gb SATAII, T7K250 250Gb SATAII, T7K250 250Gb ATA133, Nec ND-3520, Plextor PX130A, SB Audigy 2, Sapphire Radeon X800 GTO, 24" Dell 2407WFP.

          Hy,

          I heard from some people on other forums that they had some problems with various Soundcards. So you shouldn´t try cheap soundcards with this board.


          BTW, remember to turn on memory 4 way interleaving to improve memory performance!

          I also remember some people reported problems with cards from 3COM, Matrox and Creative with the RAID-Version of the K7T. But I don´t remember what problems.

          Not very much Matrox specific stuff in this post, but I thought you would like to know.
