Radeon Dual Display Question

I was wondering, what are the differences in the display outputs from the Radeon 8500? I heard somewhere (rage3d forums) that only one of the outputs can handle 3D accelerations. Is this true? Also, can both outputs handle overlays? Hypothetically, if I were to put two tv tuner boards on my PC, can I run one TV on one monitor, and the other TV on the other?

How about playing one TV on one monitor, then playing a DVD on the second?
