  • Help identify dual head PCI card

    Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can help me identify the Matrox card at this link:

Thank you very much for ANY assistance one can provide. Even if they can
simply narrow it down to a few cards.

How many different types of Dual Head PCI cards did Matrox release?
How much RAM does it look like this card has? 4 X 4 MB = 16 MB? Or 4 X 2 MB
    = 8 MB?

Post, ICQ and e-mail any hints if possible, the auction ends soon...

    Thanks,

That is NOT a DualHead card, it's difficult to tell from that picture but it looks like a Millennium II to me.

Yes I think you are right,

      Thank you for your help...

What is the other connector though?

If it is like the one on my Millennium 1, it is called the "Media XL media adapter connector"... I think there were more than one kind of Media XL add-on cards that could be plugged in instead of the memory expansion board. They had features like frame and/or video grabbing and MPEG acceleration... Or something like that.
Edit: BTW the card looks pretty much like a 4 meg Millennium 1 to me (except the little white box with the DIP switches is wider than usual) ?

The Mill I had a Media XL and a Media XL mpeg add on card. Both did frame grabs and rgb captures but the Media XL mpeg had hardware acceleration playback of mpeg movies.

If that card is a Mill II, then the other connector is used for the RRS add on capture card's break out cable.
