  • MSP 6 ULEAD32.INI Settings

    Charlie Hills, Administrator of the MSP Users' Group, has kindly published the following list of settings. I have taken the liberty of infringing his copyright (?) by republishing his message for the common wealth of all.

    ULEAD32.INI Settings

    Default settings after installation:
    ------------------------------------

    //Switch Menu

    CapturePluginPath1=VfwMpgPl.dll
    CapturePluginPath2=DsMpgCap.dll

    [CAPTURE_SETTING]

    DirectAccessDVAudio=1

    Specialized Settings:
    ---------------------

    [HardwareAcc]
    NotSaveOpenDML=1
    // Disable OpenDML AVI file format
    // Recommend for Canopus DVRex-M1 or DVRaptor and Matrox Rainbow Runner

    AviPlayEngineMCI=1
    // To play the AVI file in MCI, not DirectShow function.

    [Playback]
    RenderAudio=1
    // Do not directly read audio part of video file without rendering
    // Recommend for Canopus DVRex-M1 or DVRaptor and Matrox Rainbow Runner

    [VIODRIVER]
    Advance=1
    // Enable the Ligos Advance button in the MPEG creating option page for advanced
    users

    // APS plug-in filter
    [PLUG IN]
    PLUGINDIR1=C:\KPT
    // C:\KPT is the folder, where Kai's Power Tools (*.8bf) is installed.
    // If you are using another APS compliant plug-in filter, use the folder name
    for that filter.
    // If you have multiple APS plug-in filter directories, add a new line for each.
    // According to the example below:
    [PLUG IN]
    PLUGINDIR1=C:\KPT
    PLUGINDIR2=C:\EFFECTS
    PLUGINDIR3=C:\FILTERS

    If anyone has any other experience/comments/questions, I suggest you contact Charlie on the MUG.

    Brian - Thanks for the info on this MSPro 6.0 ulead32.ini file. I have added three more lines as per the suggestions that you noted from Charlie Hills, MUG Administrator. This has cleared the defect of the Source Window going blank/black when scrubbing a clip. The clip now stays where it is & I am extremely grateful for that.

    I am not sure of the relevance of those final additions, so I have omitted them: -
    [PLUG IN]
    PLUGINDIR1=C:\KPT
    PLUGINDIR2=C:\EFFECTS
    PLUGINDIR3=C:\FILTERS

    Just one little niggle remains, the Trim Windows images disappear when trimming stops. As I said in my previous letter, in v5.2 they stayed put. Does anyone know a cure for this ?
