  • g400 tech demo

    hi
first i'd like to wish every one around here a happy new year 2002.
my question may be silly, but any, here it is:
i saw the matrox g400 tech demo on a friend's pc and it was amazing. unfortunately, i do not have a matrox g400
and i was wondering if there was any way to run the demo on a non-matrox card...
is there some kind of fix around?

it would be nice, if anybody knew an answer.

    Have you tried it?

Along the same lines, anyone know how to get the
Expendable version that's bundled with the G400
    to work with the G200?

i have tried it even with an matrox-card, the g200.
the demo only creates a texfile which sarcastically says:
      a g400 graphics-card is required - go buy one!
      very funny indeed :-(
for the old radeon's ark demofor radein 256, for example there is a fix which allows it to be run on a radeon 8500.

isn't there some patchg or crack which allows the g400 demo to be run on a non-matrox card?

FYI: Apart from cracking the bundled game, u can try to get a regular copy and apply the EMBM patch availabe at matrox's website.

          damn!

i would like to see how my kyro2 handled the techdemo, and expendable as well, i bought the g400max retail version because i wanted expendable,
they owe me a working expendable version!
This sig is a shameless atempt to make my post look bigger.

            pffff

TDB you got the special EMBM version of Expendable... contact the game maker and ask them for the regular version (this should be possible)
