the problem i am having is that on the 21" tft i am getting what i call "freckeling". it is red and it shows up all over the place and it is not consistant. it shows up around the shadow on the mouse cursor in win2k( the only os i am using). it shows up on most mpg/avi/wmv files, it shows up on a lot of web content( jpg files), it shows up when i float my mouse over menu bars(..when the button raises) and scroll bar sliders etc, etc, etc. the 17" does not have this problem. i am using the drivers for the tfts' that came with the monitors...they are the latest versions

also, i can't seem to get the 21" to 1600 x 1280 @ 75Hz like i want...why do i feel like this problem with the red would go away if i could get the 21" to my desired resolution??

here is what i've done to try and solve this problem..

    -loaded various color profiles...no help!

-changed the "red" slider in display properties till it goes away...then everything looks like crap...unacceptable

-reseated the video card many times...it is correct, and i'm not doing it again!

-the system and both monitors are on a ups...there is no "machine shop" running on the same branch circut, LOL

-did a clean install with the latest( not beta) drivers...after all, i just built it yesterday!!!

    i'm stumped

    cc
Working...
