Solution to VIDPRES cant' read file info

after un and in stalling drivers and comeing within a, well a hair of formating and a new W ME install, I found it! it isrelated to audio, go to settings,control panel sounds and multi media, audio tab. make sure your correct sound card is selected and on each option and preferred device is checked. That cured my prob. I want to jump up and down. I did the vt155 macrovision patch again. and it worked. only i only made the change in the rrapi.dll, not the other. now one more bug. when i press record on my pc vcr remote the select x moves from line input to mic input. and i have to click line after i start recording to get line input. odd. anyway hope this helps someone and i thank those that helped me.
