How To Become A Great Writer

There once was a young man who professed a desire to become a "great" writer. When asked to define "great", he said "I want to write stuff that the whole world will read, stuff that people will react to on a truly emotional level, stuff that will make them scream, cry, wail, howl in pain, desperation and anger!"

So, appropriately enough, he now works for Microsoft writing error messages!

But did you know that he served his apprenticeship writing for Mills & Boon ?

It was direct intervention from BG that led to BSOD instead of the original idea of a sobbing cry as he ripped the flimsy fabric from her bodice.

Luckily BeOS have Barbara Cartland on their books, although apparently it was a close-run competition against Stephen King
