  • Memory prices rising.

    Just brought some more 256mb pc2100 ddr ram from cruical as the prices have gone from a low £23 to £29 in the last few weeks. Since I'm planning an upgrade this xmas I guess it's best not to wait.

    Actually, if you don't desperately need those extra MBs, I'd say wait untill january...
    Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

        He's right

        Last three weeks, I've seen a jump of about $20cdn on memory prices here in the Edmonton Area on PC-133 RAM.

        PC-2100 DDR memory seems to have stayed the same though (maybe gone up 2or3$).

            I heard a rumor it has something to do with one of the Factories have stopped shipping the IC's.

            True or not I don't know but thats what my suppliers in Oz are saying. Could be a christmas ploy???

              1) Xmas ploy they always rise a bit round now.

              2) It's been so darn cheap for so long that manufacters are feeling the pinch slightly and what to increase their profit.
