  • G400-TV & Win 2000

    Hi,
I'm running WIN2K-PRO, with a G400-TV card. When I try to install power desk for 2000, the computer restarts half way through.
I would greatly appreciate any help you may be able to provide,
    I tried the following steps:

Try the following steps in this exact order in WIN2K.
    - Uninstall your drivers with the uninstaller from here: http://www.matrox.com/mga/support/dr.../ftp_util2.cfm
    - Reboot and go in your system BIOS.
    - Be sure that USB is enabled!! (this should have been done before you installed windows according to VIA), PNP OS set to NO, Assign IRQ to VGA enabled and AGP aperture size set to 256 or the highest.
    - Boot in normal mode.
    - Upon detection of the card install drivers from windows list only. Do not install Matrox drivers at this point.
    - Install SP2 for WIN2K and any available update from Microsoft along with the VIA HotFix.
    - Install the latest 4 in 1 patch rev 4.31 from VIAs website www.viatech.com
    - Reboot.
    - Install the latest Matrox drivers from here http://www.matrox.com/mga/support/dr...atest/home.cfm
