  • For those whow wonder how the war is going

If you are not at gardener, look up "girdling" a tree.
This has been US war theory for a number of years.

I was aware of the practice, but never realised it was called 'girdling'.
You learn something new every day.

Most of the time, I seem to learn that I shouldnt have bothered getting up

I've done it to trees before.
It's realy strange, the tree looks fine untill right before it dies completely.

I had a boss that liked to cut his own grass, and thought he knew better than the lawn people did. He spent thousands of dollars on trees and after a month they all died. He screamed and shouted about it, I looked at the trees and saw he had taken a weed eater and girdled the trees. Every one of them. He said I was full of shit, that the trees were bad. He called the tree company down and they laughed at him and gave him an estimate for new trees.
