  • Some G450 eTV help please...

    I think I'm going to try a G450 eTV.

    Just a few questions.

Will it capture using PicVideo MJPEG and huffyuv using the software that comes with it? Assuming I have the above mentioned codecs of course?

Will it capture using avi_io? That is, does it have VFW?

Does the tv out overscan? No black border around video out.

I don't really care about the MPEG II capture.

    Thanks for any help.

    Yes

Never tried the tv out, so I can't answer that one.

This image was captured with a G450eTV via digital cable with Huffyuv, in AVI_IO.

A short clip of the scene above after filtering, resize and rendering.
(about a meg and a half, 16 seconds)

Overall I have liked it, but will probably go with a hauppage wintv 401 in the future. I just would like to get the capture and display on seperate cards.

edit- for some odd reason the board isn't displaying the bottom letterboxing on the image. I left it uncropped to get a idea of what the card actualy grabs.
