Anyone else get this problem?

I'm getting way lower scores in 3DMark 2001 then I think I should be.
Always in the range of 1100-1111

My current system structure is as follows:
AMD Athlon T-Bird 1GHz
ECS K7VZA Mobo (Latest 4in1 ver 4.34 drivers)
196megs SDRAM
20 meg HD
Windows ME (Latest updates downloaded)
Matrox G450 DH (Latest drivers/bios downloaded)

What score exactly do you get in default test?

I think 1100 points in 3DMark2001 (standard test) is a normal result for the G450. Note that the G450 is a bit slower than the G400.

Compared to a BX chip set pc wit 2X AGP

I just built a Screaming P4 1.7 GHz 512 Meg pc 800 ram 4x AGP Raid 0+1 with a G450
And man I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to figure out what’s wrong the P4 system is
Almost ½ the older PIII system Very disappointing here are 3DMARK2001 results

I thought the G450 replaced the G400
Should the G550 Have some of the Performance
of the G400 or are all Matrox new video cards very slow performers

Right from Support

Compared to a G400 MAX the G450 and G550 are very slow. I recently was contacted by someone who had a P3 733 with a G450 and it was slower than my Celeron466 with a G400 MAX. Now I own a P3 1100/100 and a G550 and I get a 3DMark 2000 Score of 3000. That's the same as a P3 650 with a G400 MAX.

Linas when you installed w2k did you do it in the following order?:

• sp2
• inf update
• udma drivers
• dx8
• rest of the drivers vga sound etc.

If you did not you have to install w2k again sorry (not a matrox bug)!
