  • Phoneline Network?

I am looking around at routers and this caught my attention. Has anyone had any experience with them?

    Do they work?

Are they hard to set up?

Are there any disadvantages to the phone line thing over my first choice ( the Linksys BEFSR41 - EtherFast 4-Port Cable/DSL Router)?

Probably a n00b thing to ask, but I have never even heard of such a thing untill today.

edit: hehe just noticed the model number HPB200. Is that a bad sign?

      ROFL! Not nice Omega.

Go for the BEFSR41 though. Despite requiring actual cables to be run, you'll probably be happier with it in the long run. Especially if you have more than 2 PCs on the same network, and need to transfer large files between them.
      "..so much for subtlety.."

      System specs:
      Gainward Ti4600
      AMD Athlon XP2100+ (o.c. to 1845MHz)

Using the phone lines will also require you to buy little client boxes for each machine you want to run that way.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.
