what is the difference between the ati radeon 7000/7200/7500?
i know that the 700/7200 are scaled down versions but to what extent?
do they feature dual monitor outputs or vieo outputs and is their 3d performance any good?
is a flower best picked in it's prime or greater withered away by time?
Talk about a dream, try to make it real.

Take a look at the ati 8500 review over at www.anandtech.com to see the differences!
According to the latest official figures, 43% of all statistics are totally worthless...

Now, there's something wrong with those benchmarks.
A Kyro II mated with a P4@2 Ghz should get more than 71 fps in the Quake III benchmark (1024x768x32, everything maxed).

I get 10 fps more on a lousy PIII 650@900

Edit: I get 69 fps in XP (the drivers holding it back)

        No not really. Several problems:

        1. P4's suck ass.
        2. Kyro2's suck ass (relatively speaking).
        3. P4's suck ass.

Truthfully, in their couple latest sets of drivers PowerVR has totally hosed performance. Add to that the fact that P4's suck ass, and you have your answer.

The P4 might suck, but in Q3 it was supposed to rule.
Kyro XP drivers might suck (20-30% performance dropp on my system, compared to 98 and 2k), but they benchmarked the cards in Win2k SP2, in which I got something of around 85 fps with the Kyro, not 71 like them.

Guess it's more like they didn't bother to tweak the settings much.

No no. What I'm saying is that on SOME systems the latest drivers suck ass in Win2k as well. I had to take my Kyro out, I lost over 50% of my performance in Win2k. Couldn't watch videos - they tore and lagged. Couldn't scroll fast in a 2D window. It was bad. Nobody seems to know why, but the latest Kyro drivers, for SOME people, are REALLY REALLY REALLY bad.

Sorry to hear that, hope the new drivers will be better, also hope they will release them on the 25th

I'm still using a BX mobo, this might be the reason I'm not taking a bigger hit in XP and had no problems in 2k.
