  • Cool3D 3.5 coming soon

    New features;

    EnVector module

A separate Cool3D executable for editing and exporting Flash vector animations. These animations can be re-edited in Macroemedia's Flash if necessary. You can move between the "normal" and EnVector modules using a single button.

    Wireframe

Example: all or part of a automobile model can be made wireframed to show its internal parts. If desired a whole project can be wireframed to increase program response.

    New plugins

Texture Emboss. This gives textured surfaces a realistic look. A bit like bumpmapping.

Lightning. Creates electrical spark effects. This one looks VERY cool.

Wave Animation. Works for text and objects.

    New geometric shapes

    Single cone

    Frustum (truncated cone)

    Metaball (transcending sphere)

    Torus (donut)

    New I/O options

Import Adobe Illustrator files to workspace or path editor

Built in raster and vector Flash *SWF export

    RealVideo export

Plugin Madness II and III can also be installed, but there is a trick: do PM III first or else its installer gets confused by what PM II's installer does.

Neither of these effects can be exported as 32 bit *.avi's however. This is no problem with MSPro 6.5 as it can use Cool3D project files on the timeline and PM II and III effects work just fine there.

As mentioned in a previous post there is a problem with Cool3D project files being used in some Win9x installations, but a fix is on the way. I've tested it and it works, but it will take a little time for quality control to turn it loose.

According to the info I have this should run about $30 for upgraders.
