A coworker has a Compaq K6-2 with some sort of integrated video that uses system RAM. He is looking to ditch this and go with a PCI video card.
Are there any good recommendations about which video cards to go with/which not to go with. I figure if he can get an old Millennium I or II, or a G200, he would be set. Not sure what is available these days, though.
Are there any currently-selling cheap video cards that come recommended, such as something available at Fry's or something?
The system is used for basic computing. Web surfind, word processing, and the likes. No fancy gaming or 3D work or anything. Card needs to be sufficient enough for a 17" monitor.
