OMG, I bet Gurm is unhappy he sold me his Santa Cruz!

Actually, I'd better bite my tongue: he may not have mailed it off yet!

No, I've tried those drivers. They suck as bad as the last batch - which is to say they have SMP issues, the Baldur's Gate series of games refuse to make correct sound, and I have occasional glitching. Oh well.

P.S. Those drivers are like 2-3 weeks old now.

P.P.S. MM, watch for the mailman.

Jason, is there any sound card made that does not have smp issues?

          Its name is Audigy.

Actually, I don't think the Crystal based cards REALLY have SMP issues, as much as "chipsets that support SMP" issues. i.e. Via 133a, etc. etc.

They just have issues with specific games and programs.

So you're concluding that until now basically no sound card was truely smp capable?

If Audigy is it, then I'll wait... and most likely skip on getting a SMP system for gaming use.

If their Labs were so Creative then why such caca drivers/hardware?!
