  • PROBLEM:G400 "turns off" randomly

Hey guys, here's the deal. I have a g400 16mb dualhead OEM that I have sitting in a MSI k7 pro MB. This thing will boot and run fine, then at random times, the g400 will basically do what appears the be "turning off". The screen goes black, monitor in "rest" mode, and I have no keyboard input(unable to ctrl-alt-del or anything). The fan is still running, and a reset starts the machine back up, but any at some point...BAM!!! Any ideas or suggestions GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe you have some sort of power saving feature enabled like stand by.

I have all that turned off in Windows 98, I just turned it off in my BIOS...Also did an uninstall, reinstall of drivers. If anyone has any more suggestions/similar experiences, let me know. Thanks again!

Crossing my fingers - could have been a bad install of the AGP mb driver. We'll see!
