  • Foreign notebook compatability

i live in the UK and have the opportunity of getting a French version of a sony notebook and sony LCD monitor.
will i be able to use them with a UK PC and UK power sockets.
i figured the only difference will be the power addaptor and hence could i get a transformer or something to make them run off the UK mains.
are there any other differences (other than the keyboards!)
does anyone know where i could get such a transformer from.
    many thanks

Just keep in mind that the adaptor can cost over 100£ depending on the model!
According to the latest official figures, 43% of all statistics are totally worthless...

my compaq adaptor can run off 110-240V so I expect the sony one to be the same!
hmm, if you get the notebook from France you will most likely get the french version of windows.

If I remember correctly it's 230V in Frances so there shouldn't be any problems.
