Interesting is that they don't list ALL the new features. Mebbe later...

Hmmm... what's that "seamless dv capture" thing all about?

Think in terms of AVI_IO's segmented captures, but for DV.

This is nice if you're using FAT32, but you can also use it with NTFS. In either filesystem you can make it split the capture into files of a pre-defined size. Make it 650 megs or so and you can back up each clip to a CD-R.

If you capture a large single clip (as some would do in NTFS) you can also do scene detection splitting on the timeline. You can also set cues of your own and split the clip into several separate clips from the Source window.

If you load a long capture into the Storyboard you can also do cue splitting there. Once split they can also be sorted using various parameters and then exported to the timeline already aligned for transitions with a pre-defined overlap.

Those capture, cue and scene features certainly DO help your work flow, but the Storyboard is what REALLY speeds things up.

THAT, my man, is a REAL timesaver.
