  • How hot should an M3D get?

I'm currently rebuilding my 'B' pc with a Mystique 220 & Rainbow Runner (cheapy from EBay) and I bunged in an M3D (Ebay again).
After 10 minutes running I took the M3d out and the damn thing burnt my fingers!
Is this normal for an M3D?

No. Its been a while, G400, G200, then M3D, but, it never burnt my fingers, even while slighly out of spec

Slap on a sink, with fan, from a 486. Or better yet, replace it with a Voodoo 2. I know, I know, its not a Matrox card, but niether is an M3D. And Voodoo2s are cheap these days.

    Best of luck.

On the way already. I can see Voodoo2's on auction for not much more than I got the M3D for.
Dont know why I didnt think of that in the first place - I must have a case of 'Matroxitis'.

I remember my m3D ran pretty hot too. So I guess on a hot day, on a poor ventilated case, hell yes, it could as well burn your fingers...
