How to shutdown Win2000?

I go for Start - End Session - Shutdown
After a while, I obtain the classic "it is now possible to shutdown the computer"
ARGH!!!
I do have an ATX motherboard!!!!!!!

1) Right-click on the desktop and select properties (or choose Display from the Control Panel).

2) Click on the 'Screen Saver' tab and click the 'Power' button.

3) Select the 'APM' tab in the Power options Porperties (second to last tab).

4) Check the box that says, "Enable advanced power management support", or whatever that translates to in your language. It's the only check box there.

5) Reboot and you're done.
